Howard Stern has stepped up to take the place of "America's Got Talent" judge Piers Morgan who announced last month that he wouldn't be back for another season.
The announcement came early Thursday from the president of Alternative and Late Night Programming at NBC. "Howard Stern's larger-than-life personality will bring a thrilling new dynamic to ‘America’s Got Talent’ starting this summer,” said Telegdy. “He’s a proven innovator and his track record in broadcasting is truly remarkable. Howard is very passionate about this show and is fully committed to its future success.”
The controversial radio host will join Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel, as Morgan departs to focus on his CNN talk show, "Piers Morgan Tonight."
Production for the reality show will move to New York, which will allow Stern to continue hosting his SiriusXM radio show.
