I noticed one recently on a car at the gym. In Jersey. Where they probably live but have their car registered in NY because the insurance is cheaper. Anyway, I thought it looked kind of retro. I think the coolest plates were the ones CA had in the 70's(?) They were blue with gold lettering.

It's supposedly an old 60's plate than NY used then. I can't stand it. Colors are just not appealing at all. Ironically enough, when NY switched to the plates they had before this one, I didn't like those either. I guess I would just have to get used to it like I did the ones before it.

My parents used to live in FL and my dad told me they have dozens of specialty plates. Check some of these out

You can ask the same thing about the geniuses who decided to change the design of soda cans every 6 months, and the cases they come in so the generic sodas look like it's all diet, and whoever decided to quit putting candy bars in foil wrapper and the label wrapper over it. Nobody ever learns to leave well enough alone, though they should.

And NY don't they want like over 200 bucks to get the new plate? Registration has gone up this year, if you want to keep the same plates and not get the new ones its like $130 bucks and to get the new ones, I am pretty sure its about 200 or more.

Something like that. I'm not too sure because I don't have to renew my registration until January. If these dummies were smart, they'd just make the new plates cheaper to get and the old ones more expensive to maintain. Nobody I talk to is feeling this shit. Like seriously, if they were going to change it and charge out of the ass, they could've at least made them look good.
