| No not really. Other than restrictions and whoopins, the only other punishment I remember my parents making me do was clean up. | |

| My dad spanked me, my mom stood me in the 'corner', which was the side of the fridge, and one time they tried no TV for a day because I mouthed off but that was the LEAST effective of them all. | |

| Aside from typical punishments you first described, I call recall them occasionally making me stand in the corner. A lot of people scoff at that, but it's actually a quite a bit humiliating for a kid. | |

| My parents didn't, but WE did. And, honestly, no one form of punishment worked. But on a number of times it took a spanking when all else failed. | |

| I don't know about creative but I remember once my parents taking it to "school" and making me write hundreds of times "I won't do this again"....or something like that. | |
