I haven't been in years. Maybe ours closed down, not sure. The last couple visits, I felt like they really cheapened the food.

I ate at the Ponderosa in Austin, TX, clear back in the 70's, and they were really, really good. Food was good and portions were waaaaaay too huge.
They made terrific chicken fried steaks at that time.

They have those around here but I can't remember if I ever went in. If I did it was a long, long time ago and I don't remember how well I liked it.

We used to have a couple when i was a kid, and around here they were the first place to have a buffet. Every sunday they had a breakfast buffet that could have rivaled a vegas buffet... our whole family would go --- like 15 of us every week and once a week we went for dinner.
