I know my answer to this one. It was a shipping & recycling operator job at an electronics plant, and I was the first female hired. I prepped, packed, and delivered 12" CRT tubes to the dock, and disposed of rejected large glass panels. It was very, very physical, but I worked alone, played my radio good 'n' loud in peace, and LOVED that job! After 6 months I was urged to "move up" to another part of the department, and hated it! Never had a job since then that I enjoyed so well.

For one year, 1978-79 I worked as a weekend house parent in a group home in New Orleans. I went in on Saturday morning and stayed til Sunday night making 36 hours. Did the other 4 during the week at staff mtgs.
So, in effect I had five days off. Plus, I made friends with the female weekend houseparent at the women's home and we would take our vans of residents and meet up in Audubon Park or City Park. The residents could socialize and so could we. She was gorgeous and eventually ended up in my bed.
That was a good year. But I had a habit of moving on a lot in those days.

Where I'm employed now is the best one I ever had. Whereas I was never thrilled about any of my former jobs, I'm completely content with where I am now.
