At the MTV video music awards on year, Aaliyah said she wanted to meet Trent Reznor from Nine Inch Nails and that she was a big fan of his work. I think they did eventually meet because I remember there was all kinds of talk later about them possibly working talking, but it didn't happen. Of all the R&B females at THAT time (Monica, Brandy, Mya) I think she would have been the one to pull it off the best.

I also heard that she wanted to work with Jonathan Davis (of KoRn), who was doing the score to Queen of the Damned. That would have been interesting to see, but I can imagine that her family probably would have been against it.
