I just saw this movie in full for the first time and I LIKE IT! And I say it was funny as hell when Richard Dreyfus was going crazy and throwing trees and bricks in the window and playing tug of war with the garbage man for the trash can, and climbing in the window and pulling the ladder in after him, I laughed myself sick during that scene. Anybody else see this movie?

I actually remember the monthly HBO magazine cover that had this movie advertised on it! I feel old! lol

I saw it in theater when it came out. Dragged there by a couple of friends of the "ancient astronaut" philosophy, who really were into it as a reality. (I'm into it as a possibility). It was quite moving at the time and I think it most appealed to those who are open to advanced, benign extra-terrestrial visitors.

Um, can't say I laughed at anything. Did you notice Ralphie's mom from A Christmas Story?
