Re: Cruises
I went on a cruise years ago to the Bahamas. Loved it but not sure I would do it again.

Re: Cruises
Never did one, not sure I would like it. Thought I love to bask in the sunshine (which I'd probably do most of ), I'm one of those who'd rather be out exploring someplace new. The social festivities of the cruise would not turn me on much.
But if I had to take a cruise I would want the Caribbean one; my husband would prefer the Alaskan Passage.

Re: Cruises
I've never been on a cruise, and not sure if I'd enjoy it. Never been out to sea, so might get seasick.

Re: Cruises
My sister and her husband and daughter went on a cruise and it was bad, the sleeping arrangements were terrible, the food was cold, the WEATHER was cold, etc. I've never been on one but if I did I would be wearing a lifejacket until we hit land again.

Re: Cruises
I've taken several Caribbean cruises since my first in 2007. I enjoy getting out to sea, surrounded by blue on all horizons. Also, you can visit ports of other countries or tour if the stay is long enuf.
Here is my Website with my Cruise blurbs. This is the first one I took with my grandson:
http://home.earthlink.net/~robandkevintrek2/id13.html
My boss turned me on to cruises, and they are real convenient for those of us living in Miami. I take the city bus to the entrance to the port and walk in. So far I have been lucky and the walking weather was nice.
Of course my boss takes formal clothes and does the dining and dancing and sitting with the captain and all that. I DON'T. In fact I had doubts that I would even enjoy the cruise if I had to wear a jacket and tie, but the travel agent told me it wasn't necessary. On all my cruises I have yet to eat in a dining room - my preference is the buffet dining. And I have yet to take a jacket and tie, or even long pants on a cruise.
This is me with all my luggage walking into the Port of Miami.
They are a real bargain vacation and for a couple of years unbelievably cheap. IDK how they can make a profit at about $100 a day, which includes your room, food and travel to other places.

I don't see the appeal in going to a hotel that floats.

Re: Cruises
Yes, yes and no...don't have a favorite. The Royal Caribbean was nice though.

Re: Cruises
I haven't ever been on a cruise, but I would love to go on one someday. Carnival seems like the more popular cruise lines, but I've heard good things about Royal Caribbean as well.

Re: Cruises
Cruised from NY to Bermuda on our honeymoon in 1983. It was fantastic.
