    Do you keep old prescriptions if you havent used them all? Do you throw them out, flush them, or keep them?

    I've thrown some out in the garbage (not good to flush them). But I do retain certain meds forever, because "dry" pills retain their potency for several years beyond the expiration date. It's the liquids and lotions/cremes that spoil quickly.

    I keep them around until they are a year or two old. Then they are tossed.

    I'll keep them...but 99% of the time, I use all of my meds in the time frame.
