twas a good movie... betty davis and joan crawford hated eachother in real life, and there are many interesting stories about their rivalry!
bette davis supposedly was asked in the 80s what she thought the best thing about crawford was, and she said "that she is dead".

I guess that makes them about evenly matched because they were supposed to star in another movie and Joan Crawford was terribly sick at that time and couldn't do it. And somebody got to see her and asked what she was sick with, and she said nothing, she just couldn't stand to work with Bette again.
