Anyone like to go? Any favorites? Mine is the Smithsonian in D.C. followed by the Museum of Natural History in NY.

I wear out my legs in DC hitting all the Smithsonian museums along the National Mall. In Chicago I take in the Field Museum and Art Institute.

Dragged my grandson thru them when we visited there in 2004.

I grew up in St. Louis and the Art Museum was a lifelong destination. Still go there and to the zoo whenever I get in town. The museums in St. Louis are free. I used to hang out at the Soldiers Memorial Museum in downtown St. Louis when I was a kid.

New Orleans has a small art museum that I actually worked at for a while as a guard and assisted in putting up exhibits.

Our History and Art Museum here in Miami charges admission which sucks and probably keeps a lot of kids from being exposed to these learning places.

Here on Miami Beach we have a Sex Museum, which is worth paying to get in.

There's a local museum here called Greenfield Village that was always my favorite. I haven't been in about ten years, but maybe this year I'll go again.

I love museums! I love the The Met in NY. Also, the Legion of Honor Art Museum in San Francisco, and the Natural Museum of Man in San Diego is really good, too.

The Portland Art Museum is pretty good, too.

And I like "traveling museums" (special exhibits). When I went to San Francisco once I learned about the Titanic exhibit and made it a point to go. One of the most awesome things I've ever seen.

Went to the one in New Orleans in April and that one was even nicer than I expected. Had to take pictures without flash and was surprised that they turned out better without the flash. Took a lot of pictures.

I was a member of Greenfield Village (now they call it The Henry Ford) in 2001-2002 and spent every weekend there taking pictures. I must have 10,000 photos of every square foot of the village and most of the museum as well.
ONE day I'll have to do something with those pix..

It's been a good number of years, but I always enjoyed the Portland Art Museum. Good for a Saturday afternoon with the kids.

We have a few local museums here that I haven't been since I was in elementary school. We had gone for a class trip.
