How I miss Baker's Lounge on Livernois...I was glad to hear it was planning to reopen...When we get back in Michigan our plans are to spend a few weekends there. Used to be the LONGEST, continuously operating blues and jazz venue in the world..until it closed a year or so ago because of financial reasons.

Jazz is as varied as pop and even blues. I don't like "snoozer blues", the ultra-smooth stuff that puts one to sleep. But I LOVE old jazz of the 50's and 60's.

My partner Jim introduced me to jazz and I have become a fan. Love the sound.
But, I also love classical symphonic, occasional blues and Led Zeppelin.
