I had a gyroscope and loved it. Of all the things, here in NC there is no such thing as good Greek or Lebanese food. Even the greasy spoon diners here have trouble making a good gyro. Guess it is one of those foods that you either make a great one or it is going to be really bad..no middle ground.

They're good but they can be messy.
They're supposed to be made with lamb. The white stuff is Tzatziki Sauce which is made with yogurt. I believe it's pronounced YEE-ros.

They're good if doused with enough sour cream. Sour cream being a MUST.

I love them. The local one in my town offers a garlic sauce which I opt for instead of the tzatziki sauce and it is to die for.

Love them if they're made right. I've had some that were borderline disgusting, simply because they, in my opinion, weren't properly prepared.
