| Because Qtips push the wax back in into the ear canal. I use this solution that breaks up the wax....then it drains out of the ear. I do it about twice a month and I clean out my ears everyday with a washcloth. | |

| I try to do it once or twice a week. When I had hair, I never bothered to do it more than once a month. Now that you can see my ears, I am a little more aware of the waxy crap. I find the best tool is the cap off a BIC pen. The thin part that clips on the pocket. Works great. | |

Because of the chance to damage your tympanum (eardrum), which is fairly fragile and quite important to hearing. | |
