Do you eat it? What the heck does it taste like? Is it like cheese, or soft like cream cheese? Does it come in different flavors? Just looking at it, it looks like fatty lard. Doesnt exactly look appealing

I've tried it once, my roommate offered me some, I can't exactly remember the way it taste, I just remember it being very mushy. I'll never try it again.

I only eat it in Chinese "Hot and Sour" Soup and it absorbs the flavor of the soup. Its a bit soft and mushy. I have never eaten it outside of the soup.

I've had it on occasion, cooked by earth mother types. It is a soybean product and rather bland by itself but takes on flavor of things it is cooked with. I have had it sauteed with vegetables and it took on the flavor of the soy sauce and onions. It was good, not mushy but firm and chewy.

I like it but only the firm kind. I don't like it mushy. I put it on stir fry without cooking it. It really doesn't have much flavor but I like it anyway.

If you cook it in something it will absorb that flavor of the other foods.
