No, but I see shoes outside apartment doors all the time here so apparently a lot of Hispanics do that. I usually am wearing flip flops outside so I kick them off inside the door and go barefoot. Also, as soon as I get home while wearing shoes, they come off - but I don't leave them at the door.

It is automatic here because of snowy winters. You also do not go into someone elses house with shoes on, they are always kicked off in the mudroom. It becomes so automatic that it is also done in the summer time. I even would kick my shoes off when visiting family in California. They thought it was the strangest habit.

No, and I wish I could but I'm too lazy. Most of the shoes I wear either lace up or buckle, and I don't want to stand there futzing with them.
Definitely a cultural thing in some places. I had neighbors from Guam who took their shoes off at the door all the time, even at other people's homes.

At home I change put on a pair of bedroom slippers when I get home. If I'm at someone else's place I observe the local custom.
