Re: Do you believe in karma?
Sometimes but it would be nice if karma was more accurate and efficient than it is because some bastards live the 'good' life right up till they die. Of course nobody says karma exists only in this world and this life.

Re: Do you believe in karma?
Yes, very much so. But like Supernova wrote, there are people who die without experiencing their paybacks.
Still, I believe that they'll pay for it somehow, be it in the afterlife or another life.

Re: Do you believe in karma?
Karma, like Mardi Gras is actually a religious occurence that unknowing tourists have made superficial and out of context.
No, Fat Tuesday is not ONLY a big party, it is the day before Ash Wednesday. And Karma is not about this lifetime, it is an accumulation of Sanskaras that eventually require payback. So, you may not often see 'instant Karma.' It may seem flawed, but it is just as believable as heaven & hell - or not. Guess that's why they call it faith.

No. Somtimes life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers--what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow but it doesn't have anything to do with the bhava-cakra. I confess that I wish it were true sometimes.

Re: Do you believe in karma?
Yes AND no. I don't believe in the psudo-religious/superstitious nature of "Karma" as a principle. I do however believe in logic and reason and logic dictates that certain actions shall inevitably lead to an expected result. (ie: if you are an asshole to enough people, for a long enough period of time, eventually "bad shit" is going to happen to you because others will ensure that it does). But I don't believe that there are these mystical "cycles" or "force" that affects everything all the time. I consider Karma in that respect very "Star Warsy" and ultimately silly.wants2laugh wrote:Do you believe the things you do will come back to you?

Re: Do you believe in karma?
Not in the cosmic sense, but in the sense that actions typically have unforeseen consequences that will eventually come back and bite you. It's a simple case of cause and effect and not some cosmic revenge.
