| Have you ever had to take a blood test? If so, how easily do you tolerate the needles? | |

| I've had blood tests drawn and tolerate them well but don't watch the blood flowing into the vacutainer - not since the time I nearly fainted.
I don't know if it was all psychological. I had been fasting since midnight and didn't have my morning coffee or anything to drink. I staggered to a drinking fountain and after some cold water was OK. Still I do not like to watch myself getting stuck or blood sucked.

| I don't mind blood-draws, but intravenous needles are something I dread with a passion. I've had too many of them fumbled by nurses who didn't know what they were doing. | |

| Yes, and very tolerant. I have no problem seeing a needle stuck in my arm and watching blood being drawn from it. A little fascinating actually. | |

| Oh yeah & it doesn't bother me. Sometimes the nurse really sucks at it & has to make several attempts. Don't much care for that. | |

| I'm usually on the "giving" end of the needle, since I work in a lab, but the times I've been on the receiving end, I've been fine with it. (Except when I had a chemo-port in my chest--whenever they plugged the needle into that, it hurt like a mother!) | |

| I have had blood tests and I am ok with the needles penetrating into my veins. | |

Their body makes them play dead.

Yes. It's kind of required (annually) when you're in the military. Needles don't bother me much.

| I don't mind the blood, I just hate that they can never find my vein. They had to call for reinforcement last time--someone to hold the vial so the blood could drip down, and someone to hold my arm LOL | |
