I have a little bowl of seashells in my apartment right now. Those cut open Nautilus shells are wonderful works of architecture.
I find Peacock tail feathers beautiful.
Flowers and plants, especially Ferns.
Blue, I love the non-existent, structural color of Blue as found on this planet.
I could go on - it's a big world.

We especially love seeing animals, and birds. Even throughout winter we have a couple of wood peckers and some small birds that come to our feeders. We have had deer, wild hare's, fox in the park and unfortunately a bear. Of course right now the bears are sleeping. I suspect the fox got the bunny because I didn't see either of them this past summer.I took this picture out my front window last year.

Oh, yes! Living in a big metropolitan area you forget how beautiful and humbling the clear night sky can be.Cheaps wrote:...

The last time I saw that was after Hurricane Wilma, (Nov 2005) knocked out all the lights for two counties. It was clear and cool and totally dark and you could see all the stars. Truly wondrous.

One thing about nature that amazes me is wild animals getting used to seeing humans.
I think I have written about this here before but a guy, Kevin, who has land near my parents' land asked Dad to bait deer for him as he does not live near. Over the years, Kevin became more a friend and had Dad bait the deer on Dad's land as well. Well, the "bait place" was on my son's motocross track there, which is a place my dad drives out to daily. While Dad missed us and seeing my son ride there, he got to see the deer eating corn. Fast forward a year or so, these deer became totally used to seeing my dad's truck and don't run away when the truck comes.
So, best part of the story is that Dad had to tell Kevin that the deer are now close to his heart and he can't let Kevin hunt them on the land! I have pics of these deer...they really don't mind trucks at all. Thankfully, they stay away when we are there with our bikes. But on any first night we are there, we can drive back in the truck and witness the deer eating their corn. Dad now buys corn for the deer and feeds them and they will NEVER be shot there.
So, the best thing I love about nature is deer hanging out at our motocross track and respecting us when we ride!

As long as you don't use a milking machine or vacuum cleaner. Those are unnatural.
