Nah, never cared for them. Syrup and ice...not a good combo.

I like Rita's Italian ice put they are way above snow cones.

One of my earliest childhood treats. In St. Louis inner city during the summer this guy would push a cart down the street with bottles of flavored syrup and a block of ice. He had this scrapper that would fill up with the shaved ice, put that in a dixie cup and sprinkle with the flavor of our choice. We didn't call them snowcones, just Icy-ice.
The other treat was in winter when mom took fresh clean snow and put condensed milk & vanilla in it to make a type of ice cream. Only kids could enjoy ice cream in the snow.

No not really. Once you slurp out all the sugar, it's nothing but ice.

Yes. Had one somewhere during the summer. But I prefer a good Italian ice.
