Everybody's got their different theories about who killed JFK and why, my mother believes Lyndon Johnson had him killed so he could step up as president. Does anyone else?

Were there people within government & the mafia who could have pulled it off? Sure. Was LBJ one of them? No.

I wouldn't have put it past LBJ, but I don't think he was involved. Nor do I think Oswald was capable of it by himself. I suspect the Mafia or the CIA and lean more toward the CIA. Oswald said he was a "patsy" and I suspect he was just that. I believe Jack Ruby killed him as planned and I also think Ruby was murdered. Yes I know he supposedly died of cancer, but it sure was a convenient cancer.

Do we even know that Oswald WAS the one to pull the trigger on Kennedy?

I think he must have been involved somehow, other wise why did he kill the police officer? However My husband who was something of a gun enthusiast had no respect for the gun used and figured Oswald couldn't have been that accurate that fast with the rifle he was using.

I don't think Johnson had anything to do with it.

I think Jackie's father had a hand in it, myself. He was a rich and powerful man in his own right and and Daddy who's little girl is hurt by a cheating husband would want a little revenge . He probably was rubbing elbows with others who wanted JFK gone and helped each other out a bit. I do remember hearing about some papers of Jackie's that can't be opened until 2060 or some year around then and I'm sure those have some interesting info in them.
