A bus stop is about 50' from my house, while the light-rail station is about 3/4-mile away. Main transit station is about 2 miles into town (if that).

Well, depending on what bus you want to take....there is a stop right across the street but the one I use the most is four blocks away. There is another one about 5 blocks away. I live in a two fare zone, meaning you have to take the bus or the dollar van to the subway. The only "train" close by is LIRR, which is a few blocks away.....about a 10 minute walk.

Going across the bay the bus stop is seven blocks away. Going to SoBe there's one about 3 blocks away. I usually take my bike, it is cheaper and faster. From here to downtown Miami (10 miles) takes an hour by bus and I make it in 55 minutes on a bike.
