It all depends on what it is. Most stuff is generic but there are a few things that only brand name is accepted, like Oscar Mayer hot dogs and Cheerios and Velveeta cheese.

I can't think of anything we buy in the way of store brand food.

Most of it is equal, I think. In general, I think generic condiments suck. Especially ketchup.

Some things substitution won't do. Like the store brand feta cheese is cheaper but not nearly as good as Athenos Feta Cheese so I pay the extra for something that is a joy to eat.

I look for national labels, but am not above store brand if that's what pops out more.

Store and generic tends to be about a dollar cheaper, and for the most part I don't taste a significant difference. A slight one, but nothing too dissimilar. On occasion I do buy store brands.

About 50% of the time I'll buy store brand interchangeably with national brands. On occasion the taste may not be quite as potent, but for the most part it's close enough. Generic brands from no-name companies, I don't mess with that often.

Just had some (Publix) store brand molasses with my yogurt and don't like it at all. I knew that but last week they did not have Grandma's Molasses so I was forced to buy theirs. Now I am stuck with this until it runs out.

Sometimes I'll get the store brand but most of the time it's the name brand. It just depends. A lot of the time if I get frozen vegetables there's not a huge difference. But sometimes the difference is shocking. I do get a lot of generics in meds. I just got some store brand butter because the Land o Lakes was ridiculous. Hoping it will work. I've never had a good experience with store brand bread of any kind.

Store brand I sometimes buy because in certain stores they stock so much more of theirs than the more known labels and its cheaper. Tastes the same to me for the most part.

I don't buy either too often. Maybe here and there.

I buy generic and store brand often, I usually dont mind the slight taste difference (if I can taste it) and really don't mind the price difference.
