| Work or other, what is that last "bad news" you had to deliver?
Honestly, my last bad news was personal. I had to inform my guy some things about his brother. That sucked because it took convincing and just a tad short of drawing a timeline to make him get it.
Work wise, it had to do with not absorbing the cost of printing when printing costs jumped.

| Tony...delivering that news had to be so difficult. I know your feelings toward your father were mixed, but I also know with your caring nature, his passing and being the bearer of the news truly hurt. | |

Red your right it was very difficult. The sad part is that I didn't catch one of my sisters in time and she showed up at his hospice room and she thought he was asleep but he had already passed. It still hurts because my relationship with him is now filled with "what if's" and "Why?".

| Tony, I wish I had something significant to say to give you some peace. What I can say is that what little I know about you via our online friendship, I know you did more for a parent who didn't deserve it than many do for their deserving parents. While the "what ifs" and "whys" do suck, at least one the questions you are not left with is could you have done more for him. | |

This is true Red, I know that I did all that I could do and more and your right, it was for a parent that was undeserving of my attention. I did it out of respect for my Mama and because despite everything, he was a human being (sometimes).

| Last week I told my mom that my dad's best friend passed away. Luckily my brother caught her before I did. And he was in hospice so we had mentally prepared.
Comes nowhere near as close when my Grandma died and my mom called home trying to figure out what was going on (she had slipped in a coma). I had just found out minutes before but I didn't want to be the one to tell her, so I acted like I didn't know what was going on and told her to call her sister. I felt I would be breaking the natural order of things and wouldn't be the best comfort if I said it.
