That reminds me of a funny story--16 years ago when my daughter was born, we were going into Boston, constantly, for eye exams for her, as she had a tumor in one of her eyes. They used to have to knock her out in the operating room, as they do with all babies in that situation, to basically get them to hold still for the exam.
There was this one, old, old, Hatian woman nurse that worked there, named Mary, and she sort of became our "person" that always took care of us. She was a devout Christian, and once when we were in the waiting stalls to go into the OR, we got put in Room #6.
Well, Mary didn't like that at all--she grabbed us by the arms and pulled us right over to Room #7. While she was dragging us along, she was all flustered and started babbling the following in her thick accent:
"You cannot be in Room seeks! I no like Room-seeks, so ah pud you in room sevunh! Sevunh be God's numbah--seeks be da devil numbah!!!"
It was so funny to see her eyes bulge and nostrils flare when she did that, and it gave me a good laugh, in an otherwise shitty situation.

No more than '7' is some kind of good mystical number.
These are just numbers that are part of Judeo-Christian culture and have been assigned merit.
Now the mystery is why the belief that '13' is so bad that ppl misnumber what should be the 13th floor of a bldg, or apartment 13 here in Miami Beach.
I live in Apt. 12. Next door is 12A (No matter what you call it, it is still the 13th Apt.) Other bldngs I have been in just skip 13 and go from 12 to 14. So silly.
