It appears to me that Layla's mother is a piece of work it seems like that she really plays favorites with her daughters.I don't go in for such stuff as that parents shouldn't treat one child any different from the rest.

I agree that favoritism is wrong(and my family has been a victim of it). But of course Vangie is the favorite, the fans sure played favorites with her. lol

What a truly HORRID woman. I am utterly disgusted by her open favoritism and it's brutally clear why Layla been so insecure and victim of low self-esteem.

Layla's mother is awful, but she's awful-interesting. She's the kind of awful you want to see on the show, because she's not completely hallow or shallow in her shrill attitude. Lisa Williamson could have been a great addition to the cast.
