When I go to a restaurant, I usually don't spend no more than $10 on the plate itself, not including my drink. Anything over $15/plate would be too much.

I guess around $50 bucks if it's just my wife and me. Less if there's more people. That's what would be the top end but I don't think we've come close to that. Usually it's half that. This Friday is Mrs. Smithee's B'day so we're going to Red Lobster and she's probably getting King crab legs.

I try to stay around $10. I have spent $25 on a great steak. But those are generally special occasion things.

Depends on where I am and what I expect. I wouldn't go Applebee's and spend $50 on a plate, but might expect to spend that much at The Spotted Pig.

I will spend 50 bucks on a plate provided I enjoy the food. I only go out to eat maybe once or twice a week so I want my meal to be something that I enjoy.

Whenever I go to a high end restaurant I will accept having to pay a little (or a lot) more. But I don't make it a habit to go anywhere that will break my bank. Maybe a few times a year. Rest of the time it's the cheaper, affordable places where my plate won't run more than $20 or so.

Generally, when we go out, I am willing to pay $15 per person. But that has to include a salad bar. Otherwise I expect to pay around $10 for a meal. UNLESS it is that slimy 5 GUYS Burgers. OMG, we were in one and cost us $24 for TWO burgers, ONE fry and two sodas...

Around $10.00 , for our 50th anniversary we went to one of the finer establishments in town it cost us $75.00 for the two of us. We don't make a habit of that . That was almost 5 years ago and we haven't been back yet. Its just food so why pay for the name.
