Re: RIP Dick Clark
I sorta grew up with Bandstand on TV. Dick Clark was 15 years older than me, but at some times in our lives looked younger. I think a lot is genetics and some is attitude.

Re: RIP Dick Clark
RIP Dick you were a great source of entertainment, the world's eternal teenager.
Many of us grew up listening to Dick Clark as he counted down the hits weekly on his syndicated radio shows. Many of us also loved watching him from Times Square each year as he counted down those last seconds as the New Year arrived each year. Those are just some of the memories many of his fans have of his legendary TV host and producer.
Yes, Dick Clark was a household name. Today, the sad news about his passing began making the media rounds, including the Chicago Tribune. According to, Dick’s publicist, 82 year old Dick Clark suffered from a massive heart attack, this morning. The publicist went on to say that Dick entered St. John’s Hospital last night in Santa Monica, for an outpatient procedure. Attempts to resuscitate the legendary star were unsuccessful.
Dick was known for his days from his legendary show “American Bandstand,” five versions of the game show known as “Pyramid” and for his yearly “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin Eve.” Dick was also known for his youthful looks.
In late 2004, Dick suffered a significant stroke. However, to the fans delight, he managed to return to his New Year’s Eve show on December 31, 2005.
Dick is survived by his Wigton and three children. He will be missed by many fans.
