I'm terrible with names. I forget names of co-workers I've known for years but seldom interact with.

I am very, very terrible with names. I try to do associations to remember and it works once in a while. Normally I just forget what association I came up with!

Last night my dad tried to explain to us he uses word association to remember names. Somebody must have tried to explain the concept to him, but he has it confused. He thinks it means coming up with a new nick name that sounds like the real name he can't remember.

We were watching the live Supercross race and he kept calling Ryan Villopoto "Ryan Filipino." My son kept correcting him and Dad kept saying he calls him that because "that's how he remebers his name." Aye!

Probably ok most of the time.

I'm hit or miss. If it's someone important, I will remember their names from the get go, but if it's someone in passing, maybe not.
