The demise of the postcard. Empty The demise of the postcard.

Just got an e-mail from a friend of mine who's been working out of town for the past couple of months. Now it struck me that, more often than not, I get e-mails from people on their trips, etc. from their phones or whenever they get access to the internet. I love the contact but have to admit I miss the simple old fashioned post card complete with real handwriting and stamps and post marks from other countries that I can pin up on the wall.

When did you last receive a postcard and where was it from?

I got a postcard about a week or so back, couldn't tell you from where but I don't think it matters much because Patch Adams has explained he writes to his correspondents while on the plane to wherever he's going next.

Good question Cat, its been a very long time since I got a post card from anyone. I agree it was nice to get post cards from all over the world.

We get promotional post cards from sales people. One we get is from a send out cards distributor. I thought about the postcard a while back when I was going through a few drawers of stuff and cane across some .12 cent stamps. Where the hell am I going to use .12 cent stamps? I even found a few .03 cent ones also.

I can't remember the last time I got a postcard, but I did send one to my mother back in February when I was out in California. She asked me to get her a t-shirt or some sort of souvenir, but I forgot so I picked up the postcard at the last minute.

I think the last post card sent to me was when my son was 5 and staying with my parents for the week.
