    I'm sure we all know at least one person who are so miserly that they do things that are astonishing. The kind who are not only mean when it comes to spending their own money but will also have no problems in taking advantage of other people's generosity.

    For example, I know this tightwad who came to a party and brought a 6 pack of beer (the cheapest, nastiest stuff in the supermarket, the stuff he usually drinks). So anyway my friend who is the host tells him to put them in the fridge with all the drink that everyone else brought. This guy then spent the night drinking the beers that everyone else brought and at the end of the night he went to the fridge, took his 6 beers (that nobody had drank) and left!!!!!!!

    Tony, I have seen so many people do that beer trick. In fact, a friend of ours used to do it ALL the time. He would come over to watch the Supercross race, bring beer but put his beer out on the patio since it was winter. Then drink out of the beer in our fridge and take his home. I started to insist he just put his beer in the fridge.

    The worst thing I ever saw as far as cheapskate is when we had our friend and his wife (she's now and ex) over for dinner. They brought stuffed mushrooms. We bought really good steaks for the occasion.

    Anwyay, the wife at a ton of the stuffed mushrooms as appetizers. We all enjoyed them and talked about how good they were. She said, "I may just take my steak home." I thought she was making a joke, but nope. She filled up on the mushrooms and took her steak home.

    I guess the beer thing is a common trick cheapies pull on other people.

    LOL Red was the steak cooked or was it raw when she took it home. Did she take any of the stuffed mushrooms home too?

    The mushrooms were all gone and I think she put the steak in that container.

    I've never really paid any attention to others foibles. I remember Taylor Caldwell in a column she wrote about her aunt who would donate her old clothes to a charity, but she cut the buttons off first. That was cheap!

    I seen people do the beer/liquor thing. This one chic I knew, actually took the bottle she brought to the party from the kitchen and passed out with it on the couch, in between her legs.

    I actually did something similar to this but I took the bottle into my room because I didn't want it gone before the next morning and other people had a chance to partake in it. I knew that it would be all gone if I didn't.

    Understandable, it was your place and you wanted to save some. I've done that too. There was still plenty of other alcohol (we provided) for everyone. I just wanted to save what left there was of the Raspberry Vodka Smile
