| I don't like being out and about and seeing all the prom-goers. It reminds me how old I am and how I sucked at the perfect prom night.
Around here, during prom season, it is impossible to go anywhere and not see their little butts being carted around in limos. It annoys me. To.no.end. | |

Same here. I WILL NOT go to a high end place during this time of year for this reason. I do not want to spend good money to dine adjacent to loud idiots. And I am a total hypocrite as in three years from now, I will most likely tell you all about my son's prom and how amazing he looks and all that happy sappy shit. | |

| I know what you mean Red. I like porn season much more. Although I guess for some couples it amounts to the same thing.

| The only problem I have with it is that seeing the young ladies in their pretty dresses always reminds me of how I wasn't allowed to attend any of them.  But I had a lot of fun going shopping with my daughter to buy hers. | |

| I think prom has gotten way out of control and over the top. Wear a nice dress and go have a dance in the school gym, just like we did for prom back in high school. Have it catered, too, buffet style. That's enough. Too much $$ spent on limos, fancy dinners, glitzy ballrooms, etc. | |

I know a lady who spent over 2 grand for her daughters prom. Dress NOT included. | |

| My problem with prom season is that I live by a large catering hall where proms are always held every year and it becomes annoying to get to my block with all those cars, limos and kids in the street showing out in their white suits and prom dresses. | |
