Know anybody still buying this stuff? Obviously they still do numbers because they're still in business. A co-worker gave me a catalog the other day.....I see they've gotten fancy with the shit now. They're offering a lot more selections and varieties. They're even selling clothes and shoes and even household items. I don't remember them having that when I was a kid.

Re: Avon
I doubt they have many dedicated customers under age 30. Personally, I don't like their products at all. Even the lip balm I used to like feels like wax to me now.

Re: Avon
Haven't bought it in years. Not crazy about it. A few of the products are ok but nothing you can't get somewhere else.

My Mom used to buy Avon products. My Cousin sells it as a side business.

I don't think they have many young customers either. When I was younger, I always bought nail polish and lipstick from them...but the quality always looked better in the pictures. I do like their roll on deodorant, but I would never go out of my way to buy it.

Re: Avon
I remember my grandma and aunts used to use that stuff when I was a kid. I'm not sure if my mom did or not. I don't think it's that 'current' with today's woman either. My wife doesn't use it, don't recall any of my old girlfriends using it, nor my sisters.

Re: Avon
I buy a lot of Avon products. I like their nail polishes and some of their makeup and jewelry. I don't like their fragrances nearly as much as their old ones of the past.
But I have a tendency to like things that end up off their line. For a very short period they sold a face cream that I just loved, and about a year later it was gone.

Re: Avon
My former employer still sells this stuff on the side, and I know (not directly) of a few others that sell Avon. I'll see books at friends houses.
They do have some nice stuff, but rarely do I ever order from them...In fact it's been YEARS since I have.

Back in the 80's my mom sold Avon as a side job. She still buys some of the products. I have a few friends who also buy Avon here and there.

Re: Avon
Even though I have my own side business, I would love it if somebody GAVE me some Avon. It's the stuff of childhood. But trying to track someone down to order it...nah. There was a store around here that would sell it, but they're gone now.
Speaking of which, I found my scent balms the other day from the 90's. Sweet Honesty didn't smell too sweet anymore.
