| Ever planted anything that you took care of and watched grow? Fan of gardening? I would one day like to have my own garden so I can grow my own vegetables. My grandmother used to do it and my aunt and uncle does it and I have to see, their vegetables tasted a hell of a lot better than the store bought stuff. | |

| I only ever do little plants and seeds for wild flowers. Tonight, I planted hostas given to me by a friend. I hope they do well. I have already started talking to them...which they say one should do with plants. | |

| My friends say that having live plants in your house is a good thing and most people should do it. I never bothered because I would prob. forget to water my plants and I don't want to deal with dead leaves or whatever. But I'm thinking about getting some. | |

| I have no thumb whatsoever...
However, since i live in the toxic waste state of NJ, when you plant a garden, u never know WHAT you might get... my sister once grew a 10pound tomato... and someone told her it was from the benzene in the ground dumped by the oil companies--- did i eat any of her shit?? HELL NO!
NY.. the plants thing... it is supposed to be very good for you.. especially if you live in the city because they are producing oxygen, it is supposed to clean the air, and help u breathe better

| I buy my wife live plants instread of cut flowers sometimes. They last for a while but the way our apartment faces we don't get a lot of direct sun light so nothing grows too well. | |

| My neighbor went to the flower shop and they sold her this big bucket type thing with no holes in them to begin with. But they told her she could grow vegetables in them. So, that little dear, took that to mean she could grow all her vegetables in it. So, she has placed all these seeds in the thing plus a few strawberry plants.
I am no gardener, so I shouldn't mock, but it's not going to work out and I am anxious to see how it will go.

Of course they do cause they are not sprayed with chemicals and are left on the vines until they are ripe and delicious. My grandparents used to plant a garden too, they had everything from tomatoes to lettuce to eggplant and peppers and even corn and man those veggies were tasty!
