WTL I saw that movie when I was a kid, isn't there another one called Return to Peyton Place? I vaguely remember it just that it was good and I was fascinated by it! My Mama told me years later that it was also a TV series back in the 60's.

The subject matter was pretty scandalous for the times. Rape, incest, abortion.

yeah... was really good... considering that it was made in 57and was set during/after WWII

really really good movie... i saw this as an adult and was WTF??? i cant believe the content

yes there was a "return to peyton place" but i never saw it... throughout the 60s/70s there were a few TV movies and the soap ran for 5yrs in the 60s... bring it back bring it back!!! Smile

Funny, I never knew there was a 'Peyton Place' movie. I only knew of the TV show in the 60's with Mia Farrow. Mom thought the show lacked morals and wouldn't watch it.
