    I totally understand why people kiss ass at work. I have work for myself, but that places me in the ultimate kiss ass position...I have too keep clients happy as clams, even when it equates to blowing smoke up their asses.

    I guess so, maybe. I don't know if I'd call it "kissing ass", but if it's reasonable and within means, I'll do extras to make guests happy.

    When the inspectors from AHCA come around we are all step-n-fetch it kissasses. But I am always on the verge of being fired because I object to taking shit from bosses. Was going to file a formal grievance against the CEO but decided there would be no support from the volunteer Board of Directors even tho they have known me for over a decade. But the CEO knows how I feel about him, he saw the grievance.

    (IDK if he knows how lucky he is that I don't have a terminal illness)

    Nope. I'm cordial and respectful but I don't kiss ass. BTW, I didn't know clams were particularly happy creatures. Pigs in shit, yes but clams? I had no idea Wink

    Yes and no. I'd say within reason, but if you asked my boss for her opinion she would probably say that I don't kiss hers enough. Which might be why I'm being laid off. (Actually, I truly think it is an administration scrambling for money to cover misuse of funds.)

    Not at all. People tend to kiss mine, though. When I first started, I was more bent on proving competence, but didn't play the whole 'that's a nice tie' game.
