2cents Do princesses have children of their own?

Post by RedBedroom Wed May 23, 2012 12:26 am

I know....strange question. I was hired to write an essay addressing the topic. Mine is already submitted, so don't think I am going to copy ya'll!

I am just so curious of replies or if anyone feels the topic worthy of a reply.

Edited to add what I stupidly forgot to include, this is regarding fairytale princesses.

hmmmm well never thought about it before... but the inital thought that comes to mind when one says the word "princess" is a virgin looking for prince charming... so in that case, the answer would be no... she is unmarried, and childless.

However, a princess could marry a prince, become a mother and yet still have children, just as princess di did... without ever becomign queen.

but in fairytale land... hmmmm... i cannot think of ONE princess that ever became a mother--- they often seem to have animals (anya had a puppy in Anastasia, Jasmine had a tiger in Alaadin)

so my answer is this:::: in fairytales, the story is often about the princess FINDING the prince and thus have no children yet--- the kids would come in the sequel! lol

    My take was she does.

She spends time after an elaborate wedding to her prince and then spends time with the childrend of the kingdom. After a spell she has so much love in her heart, she has a .....yada yada....can't type too much as I don't own the rights to what I wrote in the first place...

"And they lived happliy ever after." If she and the prince ain't gettin' it on I don't know how happy they're going to be. And Cleopatra supposedly used crocodile dung as a contraceptive.

How about Ariel, the Little Mermaid? In Disney's Mermaid part 2, Ariel has a daughter, Melody:

That's the only one I know of, other than the princess in "Rumplestiltskin" who promised her firstborn to the troll, or whatever he was.

Certainly in real life they do, Princess Margaret and Princess Anne both had children. Elizabeth certainly had a couple while she was a princess and a couple more after she was queen.

A little later in history, here is a pic of the oldest condom known, made of linen and the type used by Casanova (who lived happily ever after without fathering more than one kid in all his sexploits) Blue Cool
