    I constantly use inter-library loans for books and movies that the library here doesn't have, sometimes they come back with the result that no library in the state has what I'm looking for. So I'm thinking about getting some DVDs that the library here doesn't have so they could add them to the movie shelf, and here are a few general ideas just off the top of my head of what they're currently lacking:

    High Noon
    Thelma & Louise
    The Poseidon Adventure
    The Towering Inferno
    Earthquake
    Phantom of the Opera (1925)
    Nosferatu (1922)
    The Cat and the Canary (1927)
    Freaks (1932)
    Matilda
    The Pagemaster
    The Neverending Story
    My Girl
    Halloween (1978)
    Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)
    When a Stranger Calls (1979)
    Night of the Living Dead (1968)
    Clue
    WarGames
    Dog Day Afternoon
    Scarface
    Labyrinth
    Notorious (1946)
    Fahrenheit 451

    I think it would be a nice addition to what they do have so anybody who wants to can see them without having to pay the rental prices. Anybody got any thoughts?

    I just watched WarGames the other day. I hadn't seen it for about 10 years and my roommate was just discovering it for the first time. It's still a good movie (although somewhat dated). Since we're both in the AF, we could immediately spot all of the "military" inconsistencies in it. But it was still highly entertaining.

    What do I think of that movie list? They are old movies, looks like only one in the 21st Century. I do like some old movies that I grew up with. They are nostalgic, but DATED. I also like current movies.

    Like going on the Internet where all you have is a black screen with white text. Oh and to get there you have to put your landline phone into a modem cradle.

    Still, I have the DVD and watch it occasionally.

    Thelma and Louise and Matilda may not be the best to suggest as they are on cable all the time.

    Not around here, Thelma & Louise comes on once or twice a year at best.
