    Man, I am so not a hugger. Are you?

    I have an older neighbor who has a kick ass garden and I wanted to make her a set of greeting cards to show appreciation for her flower gardens. They made me sit down to talk when I delivered the cards tonight. Then when I left, she insisted on hugging me. Man, it bugged me volumes. Not a hugger.

    Then I had to give her neighbor a set because Kaye is would be jealous and that exchange ended in me agreeing to host a block party.

    No good deed goes unpunished.

    yeah... its weird cause in my family we dont hug--- my mom was kinda cold that way. but with my friends... yeah... i can honestly say that virtual strangers have hugged me more than my mom--- but such is life

    Pretty much this. I remember a few years ago during an interview with the Beastie Boys, one of them, I'm not sure but I think it may have been Adam Yauch who unfortunately passed away recently, said he would run around and randomly hug people on the subway...and that made me laugh because I always remembered him from when they broke out in the 80s and how they acted then, to look at that, and then this guy just going around and hugging people, it struck me as a weird concept but a nice one.

    My family was not at all affectionate. No hugging. I don't mind if a friend wants a hug but I don't do it very often.

    I have changed my shirt. I don't like affection from random folks. Probably something I need to work on....

    I have gotten much better about hugging in the last 15 or so, but I still don't like to hug people that I don't know. Nor do I understand why anyone wants to hug a stranger. Hell, I don't even like to shake hands.

    I grew up in a family that is not affectionate at all. I like to hug and I give them out all the time.
