Could OLTL survive w/o Viki?

Would the show be able to go on without Viki around? Me I wouldn't sacrifice her but I don't think the show would automatically die w/o Viki there.

If Viki were to leave OLTL so would I. She is the heart and soul of that show, its a shame the predicament they have her in now, she has no real good storyline and they married her off to a bumbling idiot its almost embarrasing.

I don't think any ONE actor coming or going kills any show and personally Vicki is kinda BLAH to me. I find her boring but that's just me. I know alot of long time viewers love Vicki so unless the actress quits I wouldn't chance getting rid of her if I were them.

Deidra Hall left DOOL and it saw a ratings surge afterwards so maybe the show could survive without her, but I'd personally have less reason to watch if Viki ever left. The show already often feels like a less stable shadow of its former self. Viki to me represents a lifeline. She's a familiarity that my motivation to keep watching desperately needs.

Viki is Blah because the writers have made her Blah, she is only around now to show support to the other actors with no real story for herself other then her alcoholic husband. I would love to see a return of Niki Smith or her 4 other alters that made for great story!!

I wouldn't want to see her go either, but yeah it could. Viki is and will always be a "root" character, but she hasn't carried the show in years. Despite her official status as a lead, she's pretty much treated as a supporting character now.
