Can't say I'm surprised, for some reason it hasn't been put out on DVD and it only comes on TV about twice a year if that much. No matter, we're lucky because somebody's got it up on Youtube:

Loosely based on the real Phantom Killer murders of 1946 Texarkana, more loosely than the movie people were willing to admit I might add.

saw that as a kid... it was supposed to be a true story...but supposedly a lot more was changed than just the names i once met a guy online who said that his father was in it, and he told me of all these stories that happened during filming... things to look for in the movie...

as a kid it was scary... cause i lived across the street from the woods and the creek was behind me.. so i always expected jason voorhees around every corner... but this movie at the time was "real" unlike jason

here's a link to the real story

This was just on last night. After watching it, I realized how similar the story was to the zodiac killings and decided to check out things online. It turned out that many people had the same idea i did. There was also another killing CA that was in 1948 that was very similar as well. This killing was never connected to the zodiac, but is quite similar to both texarkana/zodiac's MO.

People tried to dispute the connection between Z/texarkana because the Tex killer was sexual and raped some women (i think he bite all of them on their shoulders/breast) while zodiac did not. But honestly, if zodiac was the killer in his 20s, isnt it possible that 20 yrs later, he had some seuxal problems getting it up and couldnt rape??

I'd definitely say it's possible, of course we'll never know what the truth is but that would have to be the first time in history I think that one man was responsible for being 2 serial killers over time.

well maybe, maybe not. It was often pondered whether Jack the Ripper came to NY and was responsible for killings there. THAT would be interesting to find out

True that, true that, of course something I've wondered is, everybody asks about Spring Heeled Jack, how many were there, how long was his reign of terror REALLY, did he also come to the US because the stories did, etc? He started terrorizing people in London back in the 1830s, but the stories continued off and on into the 90s, I don't recall if he was doing anything in the late 1880s but if it would've turned out he was also Jack the Ripper, it wouldn't surprise me.
