| If you're a bird person, is there a certain type that you're fond of? | |

| I like hummingbirds, parrots, Toucans, doves, canaries.
I am a bird person, and I wish I could feed them more, but we have a lot of squirrels running loose and their glutonous greed pisses me off.

| My favorite birds are pigeons because they are friendly, social, intelligent, not afraid of people, among the cleanest of the city dwelling birds (seagulls, crows, ravens, ducks, etc), because everyone else hates them and because if they are white, they are called "doves" and people pretend that they are somehow better than ordinary pigeons. | |

| I like the Life special about birds, but I'm not a fanatic. Blue jays are pretty though. And some parakeets and parrots. | |

Blue jays are pretty, but they are also crazy assholes as far as birds go. Blue jays are very intelligent (even more so than pigeons) and will attack you just to assert their dominance and territoriality. They instinctively view humans as a threat to their nest. I find parakeets to be useless noisemakers (that happen to smell). Parrots are cool though. Obviously they are smart and their ability to mimic human speech is always amusing. The only problem with parrots is that when you choose to own one as a pet, if you are not careful they might actually outlive you!
