Why is it that some people cannot or will not chew with their mouths closed? And what is so attractive about smacking your lips as loud as possible when you eat? What ever happened to manners?

Ick, I hate that, to me it's right up there with gulping after every bite.

This is really gross....
When I was in college, I worked at a bar and grill and used to waitress on Friday nights. At the end of our shift, we would all sit down and eat together. The dishwasher laughed with her tongue out. So, she would be eating and laughing and there was all her half-chewed food on display. And she always laughed at her own jokes so it was several times per meal.

I guess I was taught pre-memory, but it just seems a natural thing to close my mouth while eating and I never made a smacking noise with my lips.

That's how some people eat. You should only execute manners around others...or at least try to be considerate. Do whatever the hell you want by yourself. Or around people who don't care.
