No, it was not a typo!
This Moron prophet missed the moon landing by 8 years - and the ppl who landed there really didn't find anyone home. Now, how do they rectify this glaring lapse of prophecy - or are the Morons the ones who insist the moon landing was fake?
However he made this statement a month after Yuri Gagarin flew around the earth IN SPACE. Or, was that a hoax too?

everyone has a right to believe what they want. They believe in God, you do not. If they believe there was no moon landing, so be it. You believe there was. In actuality.. we have no way to prove either one--- we are TOLD that he went to the moon, and had robots on Mars, etc... but until u have gone urself, then you are just believing what someone else said... the same way that the mormons believed this man.
If you remember, people believed that Birth of a Nation was true, just because the screen said it was true.

Yes, that is quite true. But out of respect for my friends here who are Catholic, I deferred from trashing the "one true faith" which has many, many errors in my opinion.
And Southern Baptists? Well I'm familiar with them as well (I was dunked as a kid). Some of them still think men have one less rib than women - without actually counting. That is 'faith' run amok, when you BELIEVE something in the face of facts that refute it.

You are right that ppl are free to believe what they want, even if it is nosensical bullshit. I try to discern reality based on facts available.
Conspiracy theorists BELIEVE a lot of stuff that is based on nothing. Now the moon landing could have been staged, even in the age before CGI, but I don't believe it was. However, that one aside, are you defending ppl who believe that humans haven't been in space around this planet since Yuri went aloft in 1961? The great Moron prophet also said that AFTER the first space flight.
So where did all those space shuttles go for the last 30 years when the rocket went out of sight? So there is no International Space Station up there today? Those cosmonauts & astronauts just go hide out somewhere in Russia sending messages back from a soundstage?
No, I tend to believe what I can see and can logically deduce as feasible. Maybe I'm prejudiced because my dad worked at McDonald Aircraft Corp. in the '60s where they made the Mercury capsules that put our ppl in space. I have faith that it was real.

Here is a disclaimer I found on the Web. Apparently a religious OOPS can be forgiven, like the pope apologizing to Galileo for being right about the universe - 3 centuries after his death.
Mormonism and science/Joseph Fielding Smith claimed that man would never walk on the Moon
Latter-day Saint doctrine allows prophets their own opinions and views, which are not regarded as either infallible or binding upon Church members. Only Jesus Christ was perfect; LDS prophets follow the biblical model of being fallible men of their time called by God to accomplish his purposes. So safeguard against the foibles or mistakes of individuals, God uses the united voice of the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve apostles to establish official doctrine and interpretation. No one need trust a prophet's word alone on any issue—either of great or small importance. All members are encouraged to seek their own revelation from God, and to accept and act on the truth that he reveals to them by scriptures, by prophets, and by the Holy Ghost.
In the first edition of his work Answers to Gospel Questions, Joseph Fielding Smith wrote: The Savior said that preceding his coming there would be signs in the heavens. No doubt there will be appearances of commotion among the heavenly bodies. We are informed by prophecy that the earth will reel to and fro. This will make it appear like the stars are falling. The sun will be darkened and the moon look like blood. All of these wonders will take place before Christ comes. Naturally the wonders in the heavens that man has created will be numbered among the signs which have been predicted—the airplanes, the guided missiles, and man-made planets that revolve around the earth. Keep it in mind, however, that such man-made planets belong to this earth, and it is doubtful that man will ever be permitted to make any instrument or ship to travel through space and visit the moon or any distant planet (bold added). ... Following the Apollo moon landings and the death of President David O. McKay, President Smith became president of the Church. At a press conference following his assumption of Church leadership, he was asked by a reporter about this statement. President Smith replied:

LDS is just another false Church to me. No need to waste time giving them or anybody else rent free space in my head. Certainly no need to biotch about them on forums.

Had a large dose of southern baptist as a kid. Got exposed later in life to an allegedly different strain but a round of calvary chapel cleared it right up. Permanent immunity. Thank Thor.

Thanx for the vid CeCe. I just got around to seeing it 'cause at work they have one of those, you know things that keep me from swimming in the filth ... a filter on our server that blocks social networks, porn sites and Youtube.
This man may make Duh'bya look like mensa. I can't believe anyone would vote for someone so out of touch but the T-party is our Taliban and it is scary how such simpletons can gain control of a country.
On a good note, there would no longer be a reason for us to be fighting in Afghanistan, since we will be a clone of their Sharia system.
