UHOH I like figs. I suppose some do but I think it's more a fear of eternal damnation. I don't care what their reason is. If it helps them be a good person. As long as they don't try and impose their code of behavior on anyone else. Now on that note, I'm expecting a rebuttal on how securalists in general but atheists in particular are intent on abridging the rights of the God-fearing. | |

Well, that may be true if you are referring to their 'right' to blatantly discriminate against those of us who are not 'god fearing.'
That was the exact term the NOPD used when they would not let me be a cop. They could not figure out how I would make moral decisions without the fear of god. Today that would be enuf for an EEOC lawsuit, but in '68 I was young and didn't even know about civil rights, nor did most head-bashing, abusive cops. (some still don't). | |
