I have the first book in this series, there are about 9 or 10 books, several named after weapons: spring blade, bowie, machete, etc. From the summary on the cover it sounds like what Rambo would've been like if he hadn't blown up the town, and had actually managed to retire, a Green Beret who is back in America and settled down and trains the new guys, but is STILL the one brought in whenever something goes wrong. Could be interesting. Has anybody read this book or any of the series?
