I don't call it global warming, I call it climate change, because that is what it is. We see droughts in places normally temperate, rain in places not expected, etc. Here where I live we used to have dry enough weather that cactus grew in places, in winter it would get bloody cold. Now 40 years later we are living in almost a rain forest, moss grows on our roof, on the north side of trees and worst in our damned lawn. We've had very little sun this summer, lot of rain and serious flooding in some parts of BC. All we needed to kill the pine beetles that were killing a particular type of pine was a week of -40°, one little week. We didn't get it, in fact it has been about 15 years since we had any temps approaching -40. The experts tell us that pine is now dead in BC and the beetles have moved on to Alberta. They don't care about their north, as evidenced by the gawd-awful mess they are making with the oil sands, so welcome to the pine beetle!
