I'm just blown away by some of the costs of meds. Have you ever opted to not fill a script due to the cost?

OH Yes! I had one that my co-pay was way too much for what benefit I thot I'd get from the med, so I just skipped it.
Actually, I am leery of many meds and don't fill some scripts because I can get well without them. (I react to many meds and would rather do without the side-effects)

Not because of cost. We haven't had some painkiller scrips filled because they were unnecessary.

Yep.... with my federal employees aetna, almost every one of my monthly scripts was on their "non-formula" list meaning that I had to pay 50% of the price. When my anti-convulsive was added, my monthly scripts wound up being about $800 per month. I had to change plans... now I pay 25% of that unless i can do a mail order which comes to about $100. BIG difference between $800 and $100!!!!

No but I do stand by my previous statement, if they ever DO make it that cough syrup is prescription only, we will NOT pay $80 on top of $8 for a bottle of Vicks44, we'll just cough on people.

Yes, I just couldn't afford the $100 co-pay at the time.
