So, I found out today a homeless shelter here is in dire need of certain food products due to the high number of families they have right now. So, I went to their site to see what was on this immediate needs listing and they had cookies and sweets on there as one of they things.
This rubs me the wrong way. Yeah, kids need a treat once in a while, and I am sure people donate cookies and candy. But to ask for it on an "immediate needs" list is selfish and bad P.R.
I wonder how many will see that on there and wonder just how truly dire the other needs on the list are.
