What do you think compels the people who write them? Don't these people have anything better to do than try to corrupt my computer? Can they "see" the destruction they've caused, or they just have to assume anyone opening a link is now cursing everyone. I realize I can be naive at times, but viruses and the shitheads that make them.... I just don't see the point.

It's funny that they get a charge out of screwing over people, but at the same time, they are making a lot of corporations richer with computer sales and repairs and anti-virus software. So, they are making a significant number of people very happy and laughing all the way to the bank.
